International Disability Day Celebration Sandema 2013

On the 3rd of December, CBR Sandema with the generous support of CBM was able to hold the 1st annual International Disability Day celebration. This celebration was held in the Sandema allowing CBR clients to gather and celebrate their achievements together with the support of their families and community. The celebration was designed to raise both public awareness for disabilities and support for the goods and services produced by CBR clients with disabilities. The event was a complete success and many VIP’s attended to show their support of the event and CBR. These individuals Included: Hon. Daniels Syme (Deputy Regional Minister for the Upper East region), Rev. Esmond Nagba (Upper Presbytery  Chairperson), Afulang Apiakgiak (Chief of Siniesi) and Grace Abayiak, (Assembly woman for Kobdema). We feel blessed to have the support of these influential individuals as well as that of our community. Without the ongoing support of the greater community our clients would not be able to “break barriers and open doors”. We would like to thank the community, CBM and our VIPs for their ongoing support of this fantastic event. We are looking forward to organizing next years event.

Please take a look at the photos from the event as well as the full report attached below.
